Canon S200, S300, S330 Photo on Windows x64

After some tons of paper wasted in various tests, after peeking in various informative sites about Linux printing and, above all, after too much time, I’ve discovered how to make an S300 or S330 Photo (the latter is my printer) work under Windows XP x64 Edition. Install it as a Canon BJC-8000 [the BJC-8000 driver is bundled in Windows] ;)

With this, the only hardware I have, which is missing driver support for x64, is the VIVO functionality in my nVidia graphic card [I can survive without it, I didn’t even know it was there when I bought the hardware :D]

Edit :
One reader commented that this driver is wrong for the S200 and suggests using the S400 driver for it :)

OMG THX SO MUCH! My office has about 25 of these printers and full of about 150 computers with windows xp x64. I was going to have to replace all the printers, but thanks to you and only you, I now have a solution, I will help to spread the word.

The S400 drivers also work for the S200 and probably S300 printers too. The BJC-8000 drivers would print the page either too large or too small so I tried the S400 drivers and they work great.

I have a 330 and the S400 driver prints too small. I’ve added a notice on the post for S200 models :)

And using software for s400 didn’t work( it was for xp x32)

You should not use Canon software but directly the driver included with Windows. I don’t have an x64 Windows to write the exact procedure down (nor a printer nearby to test with XPsp2), but mainly it consists in attaching the printer to the USB, when WIndows asks for driver saying “I choose the driver dammit!” :) and choose the S400 driver it provides.
